Nan's Poem
Parting is such sweet sorrow or so they say,
But I will miss you everyday,
I'll keep you close and hold you dear,
Remembering the times when you were here
We'd bake cakes, read bed time tales,
Tea and biscuits in bed was never a fail,
Indoor picnics and fashion shows could never be beat,
Whilst friday nights round Nan's was always the highlight of my week
Nobody is perfect but you're as close as they come,
If I needed a friend you were always the one,
Great Mum, Best Friend and Beloved Wife
You were worth so much more than we deserved in this life
In your parting you've left a void,
We'll fill it with remembered joy,
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
All these things, I'll always miss
Although your time seemed all too brief,
we'll not lengthen it now with undue grief,
But in our hearts you'll always be,
As we say 'Goodbye' and set you free... <3

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
